Student Life at EBU
Students at Evans-Bossert University have the opportunity to become involved in a wide array of experiences and organizations in their four years. EBU offers a four-year residential program that engages students in a myriad of ways, through traditional residence halls, living-learning communities, townhouses, and apartments. EBU also has 14 club sports, 6 intramural sports, and 40 clubs and organizations for students to become involved in.
With students from 41 countries and 42% of students identifying as having diverse backgrounds, we believe that our multicultural student services office is a critical one for all students to use. We also want to ensure that our students are healthy and fit, and as such have a top-rate general clinic on campus for student access. Additionally, we have a state-of-the-art campus recreation center for student, faculty, and staff use.
Finally, with EBU situated on 1,000 acres of what was Fort Snelling State Park, the natural resources for student use are innumerable. We boast over 15 miles of walking/running trails, two lakes, and several oak savannas, prairies, and wetlands. This is a significant addition to EBU, as it allows students to access the resources of the metropolitan Twin Cities, but provides an opportunity to escape to the Northwoods while on campus.
Just as we seek to create the social and political leaders of tomorrow, we want to ensure that we are conscientious of our ecological footprint today. As such, in 2008 two wind turbines were erected and in 2011 the 2nd largest solar array was completed on campus, ensuring that nearly 60% of power used at EBU is supplied by renewable sources.
